Focus Points for Plus One admissions to become operational in Wayanad from May 25

To support the Plus One single-window admission process, Focus Points will become operational from May 25 in all higher secondary and vocational higher secondary schools in Wayanad district.

Orientation classes for students eligible for Plus One admission will be organised on Wednesday (May 20) from 10.30 a.m. at higher secondary schools across the district. Guidance on admission procedures, subject selection, and higher education opportunities will be provided as part of the sessions.

The initiative aims to ensure comprehensive admission support for all students who have completed Class X, including Scheduled Tribe students, by assisting with Plus One online registration. In addition to the schools where students completed their Class X studies, facilities will be made available at all higher secondary and vocational higher secondary schools in the district for submitting Plus One online applications with the assistance of teachers.

Special arrangements have also been made under the aegis of promoters and the Scheduled Tribes Development department to ensure that Scheduled Tribe students submit their applications properly. Technical assistance from IT coordinators in schools will also be ensured for students. Officials said a system had also been put in place to promptly inform students about their admission status.
